Manage Share Classes

Adding New Share Classes
You can add as many share classes as you need.
Tip
Add all share classes before selecting Save, as saving will close the form.
To add share classes
Navigate to Inventory > Manage > Share Classes. The Manage Share Classes window opens.
In the Share Code column, enter a unique unit code for the share class.
In the Description column, enter the name of the share class.
New share classes are Active by default.
Click Save.
Editing and Deactivating Share Classes
Edit and deactivate existing share classes from the same window.
To edit a share class
Navigate to General Ledger > Shares > Manage Share Classes.
The Manage Share Classes window opens.
Make any changes required to Share Code or Description.
Uncheck Active to deactivate.
Click Save.
The Manage Share Classes window closes.
Removing Share Classes
Removing a share class deletes it from the database. You cannot remove share classes that are in use - but you can deactivate them if you no longer want to use them going forward.
To remove a share class
Navigate to General Ledger > Shares > Manage Share Classes.
The Manage Share Classes window opens.
Select the share class to remove.
Click Remove Class.
Note
If the Remove Class button is not available, the share class you selected is in use and cannot be removed. It can be deactivated instead.
Click Yes to confirm the removal. The share class is removed.
Click Save.
