Release numbers are used to record the preauthorized order numbers on Purchase Orders for a product being delivered. Release numbers specify the order number, quantity, and status.
Tip
On the Release Numbers window, you can create an inventory receipt for a single release number (for ease of data entry). Select the release number to create an inventory receipt for and then click Create Inventory Receipt. (Note that the product’s release number becomes the inventory receipt reference number.)
You can also create receipts for multiple release numbers at the same time.
Inventory > Release Numbers
Use the Release Numbers window to edit and delete release numbers.
