Well, this is the first time in a long time that I have joined a new team. Having spent close to the last 20 years of my life working in the Ag world, I feel like this move was meant to be.
I have been fortunate to work at extremes – some of the largest companies in the world to the smallest – helping to shape and build who I am and the solutions I work with, and fostering my belief that how you conduct yourself and the effort you put in are the same no matter who the end client is.
Just as important in how you conduct yourself is the product that you provide. I have always prided myself on bringing solutions that find the balance of making a complex task easy to do. I design and build solutions with real-world people in mind, always thinking, 'how would I like using this?' — a question that is sometimes forgotten by software companies.
What has been most important to my journey is the teams that I have been a part of. You always want to be around smarter people. You want to join a team that has a history of success. You want to know your voice is part of the solution and valued. This is why I was so excited to become part of the Tronia team. Sitting down and talking to people like Anita, Sebastian, Devin, Andrea, or Joe, you get the sense of honour and tradition that is rare in the technology world. They made someone who was new to the team feel like an old compatriot.
As I settle into my role and immerse myself in the Tronia culture, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to contribute. Here's to embracing the journey ahead, to seizing every opportunity, and to riding the Tronia train!
