Before you can specify your tax settings in agrē, first add the taxes your company deals with on the File > Manage Taxes window.
Each tax that you add contains some information that applies to both your AR and AP: the tax name, code, rate, and rate type (percentage or flat rate). Other information applies only to your AR: the GL account, if the tax is discountable, the tax on tax settings, and if the tax should apply by default to all your locations, customers, and products. Whether or not a tax should apply by default to all your locations, customers, and products depends on the most common way your business uses the tax.
After adding the taxes, you can set exceptions to the defaults. Since the process for setting up taxes requires detailed explanations and steps, we recommend you read the Taxes Overview.
Use the Taxes for Products data export to check your existing tax settings for products.
You'll need to add a new user and then set their security details before they can login.
If this new agrē user also needs a new Citrix ID (or an existing one reactivated), please request through Tronia's My Account.
When you export a file, it needs to be saved in a location that can be accessed outside of agrē. If you are a Hosted User, you may be saving the exported file on agrē's server instead of your own computer or local area network - that would make the export file inaccessible to 3rd party programs (like Microsoft Excel).
Follow the tips for Selecting a Destination for Exported Files to make sure you're saving the file to where you can get at it later.
You can set a default location to where you want your files to go.
Yes there are a lot of notes! There's even two kinds: printed and popup.
Notes allow you to tailor reports and on-screen reminders to best fit your business.
And you probably won't use them all.
Tip
The Audit/Admin Notes (Loc,Cust, Prod, etc) data export lists all notes in one handy place.
Location Notes display on reports and are based on activity. Each location can have different notes.
Examples:
for Quotes: Prices are valid for 3 business days.
for Invoices: Terms: Due 15th of Next Month. Interest calculated at 2% per month.
Customer Notes are, like the name suggests, customer-specific.
On Screen Descriptions are popup notes; you'll see these when you open the corresponding activity.
Printed Descriptions display on reports.
Examples:
popup for Order: GST Exempt
popup for Loadout Ticket: Ask if they want this delivered
popup for Payment: NO CHEQUES
printed for Invoice: Farm # 617-054-036-88.00
Work Order SubType Notes are displayed on reports. Not meant to replace the "back page" of company terms & conditions, they provide extra information related to a certain contract sub-type. WO sub-type notes can have expiry dates.
Examples:
Prepaid Contract
Regular Contract
Max Price Contract
For Product Type Notes the key thing to remember is the same note will display on reports for all products of the same type.
Examples:
for Seed: FINAL SALE. NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
I hereby certify that the goods shown on this invoice are non-organic fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, agricultural lime, weed control chemicals, or livestock waste treatment chemicals and will be used principally for farming.
Blend Invoice Notes display only on invoices with blends.
Example:
I hereby certify that the goods shown on this invoice are non-organic fertilizers and will be used principally for farming.
Product Notes are for one particular product, On Screen and Printed. Product notes can have expiry dates.

popup for Work Order: Limited Stock! check with Dana before adding
for Loadout Ticket: Limited Stock! must link WO or check with Dana
for Invoice: Limited Stock! check with Dana if not on WO
popup: Confirm CONTAINER Size
printed: Minimum Rental Charge $175.00
